What is EMDR?


Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps you heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help your brain reprocess memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or “stuck.” This can help you reduce emotional distress, gain new perspectives, and feel more in control of your life.
